Episode 103 with Sergio Cariello

Listen to episode 103 now!

I am really excited for this show!

This week we welcome two guest to the Monster Cave*. The first guest is Sergio Cariello. You've seen this mans art in books like Deathstroke, Guy Gardener, Steel, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Young Heroes in Love, Blue Beetle, Batman, Daredevil and Azrael, among others. He recently finished the eighth installment of his Son of Samson series with writer Gary Martin for Zondervan and he has also illustrated the Action Bible, an updated version of The Picture Bible for David C. Cook Publishing. He is also the artist on Dynamite's wonderful Lone Ranger series...which brings us to our second guest.

Mark Lord is a resident of our home town of Fredericton. He and his father both shared a fondness for the Lone Ranger and when the LR creative team received a letter from the father and son duo, they immortalized the senior Lord in the pages of the western hero comic. Mark and Sergio will be on the air at the same time to tell us how this great story came about.

All this, New Comics Day, opening Night and much much more.

Cheers,

WMD

Episode 102 with Jimmy Palmiotti & Amanda Conner

Listen to episode 102 now!

Hey folks, this is a first for us. We had planned to have an interview with Amanda Conner for this week's episode but had to make alternate plans prior to doing the show. We scrambled a bit and had planned to just do a regular show with our Siege Roundup as the main focus. Which was going to be fine.

But then -duhn, duhn, duuuhn- the wonderful Jimmy Palmiotti stepped up and offered to chat with us about Power Girl #12 which hit stands that day as well as Jonah Hex, Time Bomb, Wednesday Comics, Internet Porn and many other entertaining things.

Just as we were about to wrap up our talk with Jimmy, the doorbell rang. Who was it? Amanda Conner! We got to talk to her after all and she was a blast!! She even said she would come back on once her life settled down a bit and she caught up on her rest.

All in all, it was a great episode and our thanks go out to Jimmy and Amanda for being so accommodating. Hope you have as good a time listening as we did...ummm, talking and listening.

Cheers,

WMD.

Episode 100 with Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning

Listen to episode 100 now!

Episode 100 is here!!!

It's everything you love about Where Monsters Dwell, except 100 times better. This week we are not only broadcasting on local radio and Rogers cable TV (channel 946) but we'll also be streaming live video right from the Monster Cave (that's the radio station Studio A) with the help of Mandingo Peters, our video director. To see the live video you can visit this link: WMD on USTREAM

Speaking of Mr. Peters, he's the gent that coloured our lovely celebratory Iron Man inspired cover for the 100th show. The poster was painstakingly penciled and inked by another friend of the show Mr. Ben Steeves of Zom-Ben fame. Thank you both, guys, you honour us.

And if all that wasn't enough; we will be broadcasting our pre-recorded interview with Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. We talk to them about Guardians of the Galaxy, the Thanos Imperative, General Elections and salty nuts. You will definitely not want to miss this interview, it was a riot to talk to these guys.

All this and new movies, new DVDs, NEW COMICS and our Iron Man 2 review!

Don't you dare miss it!
