J. David Spurlock is our guest for this week. Mr. Spurlock is an award-winning author, editor and illustrator. He is a pop-culture historian and advocate for artists’ rights who has served as President of the Society of Illustrators in Dallas, in addition to working with many of the greatest names in the history of illustration and cartooning including Frank Frazetta, Neal Adams, Jim Steranko, Julius Schwartz, Basil Gogos, Joe Kubert, Carmine Infantino, the Wally Wood Estate and more.

Also this week we'll be presenting our Siege roundup where we give our thoughts and opinions on Marvel's big event which wrapped up last week.

All this and New Comics Day, Opening Night and more...

  1. J. David Spurlock was a very great interview on Where Monsters Dwell. Congrats to David on being the first to be interviewed for 2 hours on the show. It was interesting and never boring. I so loved hearing the story about him starting as a little boy with an etch e sketch!;-)
Now, I must go watch Time Bandits.
    Cindi Fleming

  2. Thanks Cindi. The etch-a-sketch story was great. I'm really happy we could go from talking about very serious topics like Dina Babbit and Frazetta and then switch to fun topics.
Great interview and it made our job very easy and fun.
